Check Windows is up to date

Windows 10

1. Click Start, then click Settings.
2. Click Update & security, click Windows Update.
3. Click Check for updates.

Windows 8 and below

1. Press the Windows key + R.
2. Enter wuapp then click OK.
3. Click Check for updates.

If updates install, you should check for updates again to ensure there aren't any further updates.

Enable Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5

1. Press the Windows key + R.
2. Enter control panel then click OK.
3. Click Programs, click Programs and features.
4. Click Turn Windows features on or off.
5. Select the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 check box then click OK.
6. If prompted to download files, select Download files from Windows Update.
7. Ensure all programs are closed then click Restart now.

Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1

• Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=49981 and click Download

Depending on your Internet browser, the file automatically downloads to your Downloads folder or you're prompted to save the file.

1. If prompted to save the file, make a note of the file name, browse to where you want to save it then click Save.
2. To run the installation, follow the on screen prompts.
