When installing your Sage software, the following message may appear:

'Error 1722: There is a problem with this windows installer package'

To resolve this:

1. Hold the Windows key and R. 
2. Enter CMD and click OK.
3. Type MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER  and press Enter.
4. Type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER and press Enter.
5. Browse to the InstallShield folder in:
   
   • 32 bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files
   • 64 bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files
6. Right click InstallShield and click rename.
7. Enter old after InstallShield and press Enter. 
8. Retry your Sage 50 Accounts installation.
