Error: 'There was a problem installing .Net..'
Description

During the installation of Sage software one of the following error messages may appear:

'There was a problem installing .Net 3.5. You need to install .Net 3.5. manually before attempting to reinstall.'

'There was a problem installing .Net 4.6. You need to install .Net 4.6. manually before attempting to reinstall.'

'There was a problem installing .Net 4.7. You need to install .Net 4.7. manually before attempting to reinstall.'

Cause
Resolution

This is because either Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, 4.6 or 4.7 isn't enabled on your computer. This framework is required for your Sage software to run correctly.


Check for and install any Windows updates

  1. From your computer's Search option enter Windows updates.
  2. Click Check for updates then install any required updates.
  3. Try installing Sage software again. If the same error appears, continue to the sections below.
