Description | When you try to open your advanced report writer (ARW) software, one or both of the following messages may appear: 'Data Source Error Filling Lattice : The company data could not be accessed: Data source name not found and no default driver specified'
'Cannot Read User File - Please ensure that ODBC is installed' This issue occurs if the computer that you're trying to run ARW on, doesn't have the required ODBC driver installed on it. |
Resolution | To resolve this issue, you must download the ODBC driver from our website. After downloading, to install it ensure you've closed Sage Payroll and run the file. - On the computer you're trying to run ARW on, click on the link above.
Depending on your Internet browser, the file automatically download to your Downloads folder or you're prompted to save the file. - If you're prompted to save the file > browse to where you want to save it, for example, the Windows desktop > Save.
- Check that all Sage software is closed.
- Locate and double-click the downloaded file, ODBC driver.msi > Run.
- When the Visual FoxPro ODBC Driver Setup window appears > Next > follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
- Open ARW from your Desktop and login as normal.
