In v33 and above, the software checks your country in Company Preferences when you create a company. It checks if the company is in Ireland or the UK, then applies the correct currency and VAT settings.

This is instead of using Windows regional settings.

There's no need to switch between your computer's regional settings or install on different computers, you can create companies for both countries.

 NOTE: When upgrading from below v33, the software automatically detects the correct company settings based on the VAT scheme. It then adjusts the country accordingly.
