Run payroll reports directly into Microsoft Excel
Description

With Sage Payroll, you can export the following payroll reports directly into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet:

  • Gross to Nett
  • Payments
  • Deductions
  • Cost Analysis
  • Timesheet Audit
  • Earnings Tax & PRSI

Save a report in Microsoft Excel format

  1. Click Reports, then click Payroll Reports.
  2. Locate and select the relevant report, then click Excel.

    NOTE: If the Excel button is greyed out when you select a report, it's not possible to export it into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

  3. Browse to where you want to save the Microsoft Excel file, then click Save.
  4. When asked if you want to view the file now, click either Yes or No.
TIP: If you select No, you can access the saved report as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet later from the location you specified in step 3. 


Email a report as a Microsoft Excel file

  1. Click Reports, then click Payroll Reports.
  2. Locate and select the relevant report, then click Email.
  3. When prompted, click Excel

    An email opens with the Excel spreadsheet attached.

  4. Enter the recipient’s email address. If required, edit the subject title and body of the email.
  5. To send the email, click Send.

You've now successfully emailed a report as a Microsoft Excel file.
