If you install Sage Accounts the following message may appear:

'Runtime Error

Program: C:\Windows\syswow64\MsiExec.exe

R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.'

You may also get the error:

'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Runtime Error!'

NOTE: This error can also happen on a 32-bit PC. You may also receive other errors after you click OK.

Error code R6034 can also refer to an issue documented in article .

As a workaround, rename the msvcm80.dll, msvcp80.dll and msvcr80.dll files, install Sage Accounts and then rename the files back.

Note: Log in as an administrator will full access to C:\ Windows. .

These files may be located in C:\Windows, C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows\Syswow64 depending on the PC manufacturer.

1. Browse to and rename the files.
   
   

   File locations
   C:\Windows
   C:\Windows\System32
   C:\Windows\Syswow64
   Note: If the PC is 64-bit, you may also find the files in C:\Windows\System32.

   TIP: To check if a PC is 64-bit browse to C:\ if there’s a Program Files (x86) folder the PC is 64-bit. If not, it’s a 32-bit.
2. • msvcm80.dll
   • msvcp80.dll
   • msvcr80.dll
     Right-click > Rename the following files by adding old to the file name:
     
     
3. Install Sage Accounts.
   
   
4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to rename the files back to the original file names.
