Resolution

As a workaround, rename the msvcm80.dll, msvcp80.dll and msvcr80.dll files, install Sage Accounts and then rename the files back.

  1. Log on to your computer as a windows administrator.
  2. Browse to and rename the files.

You can locate these files in C:\Windows, C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows\Syswow64 depending on the computer manufacturer:

TIP:

To check if your computer is 64-bit, browse to C:\. Program Files (x86) folder exists if your computer is 64-bit. If not, it’s a 32-bit.

  • msvcm80.dll
  • msvcp80.dll
  • msvcr80.dll
  1. To rename the files, right-click the file then select Rename.
  2. Add old to the end of the file name.
  3. Install Sage 50 Accounts.
  4. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to remove old from the file names.
