Check for updates It's easy to install available updates from within your Sage 50 Accounts software: - On the menu bar click Help, then click Check for updates.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
You can also choose to install the updates manually. To do this, follow the steps below.

- On the menu bar click Help, then click About.
- In the Program Details section, check the version number.
Can't open Sage 50 Accounts? If you can't open the software you can check your version in Windows: - Press the Windows Key
 + R. - Enter appwiz.cpl then press Enter.
- Find the latest version of Sage 50 Accounts in the list.
- In the Version column, check the main version, for example, 26 or 27.
Once you know the version number of your software, click the relevant version in the section below to check whether it's up to date. If not, you can download the update needed.
Manually install an update  NOTE: To upgrade to the latest version, use our Install your software hub.
Select the software version you'd like to install: Version 30 The latest version is: 30.1.343.0  CAUTION: Please read this important message before upgrading to v30 if you are using Sage Job Costing or Sage Manufacturing.
In v30, we switched to a 64-bit application. This means there are two downloads and you must select the right one that matches your operating system type. - Log onto your computer as an administrator and close all software.

- Once the installation is complete, open Sage 50 Accounts.
- On the menu bar click Help, then click About.
- Under Program Details, check this now shows the latest version.

You can now update to the latest version of 23.3 - Log onto your computer as an administrator and close all software.
