In Sage 50 Accounts you can create quotations to send to your customers. Once a quote is won, you can quickly convert the quotation to an invoice or, in Sage 50 Accounts Professional, a sales order. This avoids the need to re-enter the quote details.

Before you start

Before you convert any quotes, if you use Sage 50 Accounts Professional you must choose whether you want your quotes to become invoices or sales orders.

1. On the menu bar, click Settings, then click Invoice & Order Defaults.

2. On the Convert quotes to list, click Sales Orders or Invoices as required, then click OK.

How to convert a quote to an invoice or sales order

1. On the navigation bar, click Quotations then select the quotes you want to convert.
2. Click Mark as Won then click Yes.
   
   

In Sage 50 Accounts Standard and below, the quote converts to an invoice. In Sage 50 Accounts Professional, it converts to an invoice or a sales order, based on your Invoice & Order Defaults settings.

TIP: To change your sales order to a pro forma, double-click the order then on the Type list click Proforma SOP, then click Save. If the Type list appears inactive, click the box then use the up and down cursor keys on your keyboard.
